First time blogger!

Amber at 3 months old

Today is the first time I have every blogged.  I am so excited to have found this site where I can share my love for my dog.

Amber is currently 7 months old.  She is an American Pitbull Terrier.  She is the most adorable thing I have ever seen.  I have never owned a dog before so, this is a new experience for me.  I am a wife and a mother of three toddlers.  I also have a 2 year old cat named Tiger.  My husband has never owned a dog before so this is a new experience for him as well.  We talked about getting a dog for a long time but we wanted to wait until we had a house of our own before we got one.

Having a pitbull is a lot of hard work.  They require a lot of attention and affection.  My Amber thinks that she is my shadow because she goes everywhere I go (except work!).  I guess my biggest challenge so far is getting Amber on a set schedule and making sure that we spend enough time with her.

I started this blog because I love my pitbull and because I want to share my experience owning and taking care of a dog for the first time.  If you are reading this, I hope you find my blog entertaining.  If you have any tips for me please feel free to share.  Again, this is the first dog ever so please be patient with me.
